Game #1- The Beginning of a Nightmare (Nightly Life)

It was around 6 o'clock, after the tragedy you witnessed. Seeing Oroshi die like that... the site of her vital organs, intestines, rib-cage and more spewing out of her lifeless corpse...

It all tainted your mind. You couldn't take it anymore - you could almost feel your brain slip into insanity.

Unfortunately, for some people, it did.

It was only a day before the Watanagashi Festival. You felt your heart thumping out of your chest - yet at the same time... you knew this was tradition. Nothing wrong could happen there, right?

You begin to walk down the trail from your apartment into the woods of Hinamizawa, taking you to the school.

Suddenly in your tracks, you get stopped by an energetic girl, while you meet all the other player's participating in this "mystery game".


"Hi! My name's Satoko Hojo. Pleasure to meet you!"

You were confused how someone could just be this energized, after two deaths happened in the town, and one of them was ruled a homicide.

Perhaps she was oblivious to the environment? If so, you begin wishing that you were one of those people.

...Because nothing can take back what horror you've seen so far.

Maria, being gentle, says: "Why hello, Satoko. You go to the same school as us?"

Satoko responded with: "Yes. I do. My nii-nii and I are very excited to have new people - we never get them anymore."

Maria quickly responded, almost abnormally quickly: "And why's that?"

Satoko's eyes darkened. Her bangs, covering her face as she spoke, began to mutter: "Oyashiro-sama... He is angry at us. He will punish us - with his curse."

You all froze in shock. A little girl her age shouldn't know anything about Oyashiro sama! And... if so... why is he angry at you? Questions stir like a witch's pot in your mind, as you begin to slowly ask questions to her.

"So, why's he mad at us-" Maria asked, as Satoko cut her off.

"Because you entered the town." Her voice, devoid of emotion, spiraled into a black hole as you all felt a force of energy run through your heart.

Realizing something effected Satoko, you tried to help her. Maria reached out for her, until suddenly...

Satoko snapped.

"DON'T TOUCH ME! OYASHIRO-SAMA WILL PUNISH US ALL... YOU HAVE MADE A FATAL MISTAKE... HE IS COMING... AND ONLY NII-NII WILL RESCUE ME!"

Why is this happening...? You begin feeling even more horror, learning about this "Oyashiro-sama", until...

"S-satoko, I get that you're scared. But what if this 'curse' doesn't exist?" Maria tried to satisfy Satoko.

Satoko, in a catatonic state, began to pull her head down, and extend her arms out. She looked like a zombie, slowly walking towards Maria.

The oddity of the situation made her freeze, as when Satoko stood in front of her, she quickly snapped out of her insanity.

She smiled, and walked off into the school, confusing everyone.

Maria fainted in shock, landing on the grass.

Two other students woke her up, as everyone began discussing what just happened.

"She's a psycho." Chisai said. "Nobody really believes in curses, do they?"

Agreeing with her, the crowd still talks, including how they felt about the incident.

"That was the freakiest thing ever! That totally ruined my general vibe." Hiyoko spewed, in a bratty-like manner.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAA!"

And just when you thought you were safe, something atrocious happened.

You all walk into the school, seeing what happened. Nothing was there. You searched room by room, one by one, and nobody could find anything. It was bizzare.

...Until... You checked the locker room.

Satoko's lifeless corpse was dangling from the ceiling, as it appears she hung herself.

Unkotaro just stared intensely at the corpse, just to look away seconds after. What's with all the corpses lately? He thought this was probably just a suicide at first, but if it was one, it was definitively a weird one. Was this Oyashiro-sama's curse?
"Bo-- I mean, why? Was it a suicide? Why would someone so young do that? ...But I can't deny she probably wasn't completely sane."

[Hiyoko Saionji]

 "That bitch lost her freaking mind, of course she hung herself!"


"More importantly, she was obviously the killer, so we got nothing to worry about anymore! Yaay!"


"I mean, everything that psycho said was an obvious lie."

"T-thats right. But, we can't be sure... I-I need to relax. I-I just dont feel so good." Parashu said before she was close to feel sick

[squidboi]

Jin was visibly quaking at the site of the body.

"O- o- oh, oh god w- wh- wh- why a- are there s- so many b- bodies, i- i can't h-"

After growing tired of trying to get his words out, which clearly wasnt happening, he stops talking alltogether, he drops to the floor in tears and begins to hyperventilate.

[Chīsai Mīmu]

Chīsai closes her eyes for a moment, swallowing back rising bile and counting in her head for a moment, urging herself to stay calm. She took a soft step towards the childs body and clasped her hands infront of her chest, a silent prayer. Holding back tears the seventeen year old tried to remain calm, forcing a sob back and wiping stray tears that she may have let loose. Tucking her bow tightly in her hair she turned around to face the others, trying to relax her face and be strong. "A-As unfortunate and weird as this is, there's nothing we can do but grieve, this is not our fault and we shouldn't act like it is such- this dude was clearly unstable, so this death probably has nothing to do with what occurred earlier!" She shifted her position to glance back at Jin and attempted to help the boy up and turn him away from the body, then glanced over to Parashu and sent her a soft questioning expression before shaking her head- she had to cheer them up, maybe distract them? C'mon you tea loving dork, you can do this!

"Aha, The... Uhm... festival tommorow.... We all should be on guard, yeah?" She clicked her tongue and glanced back at the body, a nervous laugh escaping her throat, "U-Ugh... I need tea, pronto. Mates, I said this isn't our fault and it has nothing to do with that crazy 'curse' mumbo-jumbo, but it still doesn't sit right..." She smiled at the others, trying to appear cheerful in such a sullen situation, "So, y'all should calm down a bit. If something happens tommorow we can't have people breaking down, yeah? Prepare ourselves for the worst and hopefully we'll be in for a good surprise!" 

Her expression died down for a moment as she reached up to touch the corpses hand, as if to provide some sort of comfort for the dead, a soft whimper left the girls mouth as she retracted her hand. As if shocked by something she spun towards the others, almost tripping over her feet. She seemed lost for a moment before pulling her thumb weakly up and humming softly in their direction, she held back a sob with a weak chuckle and gestured towards the others with a nod, doing what only a small meme could do; "Stay safe dudes. T-The offer for tea and comfort is always open, you know where to f-find me, dudes." One foot infront of the other, that's all she could so as she walked away

[squidboi]

"N- noted..."

After acknowledging what the girl said he collected himself and walked off hanging his head mumbling.

"W- w- what if the killer comes after me...?"

[spellcraft]

Spellcraft stares blankly at the corpse swinging from the ceiling.

"We're going to die, are't we? Is this it?"

Spellcraft clings onto Chīsai after her words of comfort.

"I-i'm only 15. Please! I don't want to die!!"



Spellcraft stands in horror, finally realizing the weight of the situation.
She stares blankly at everyone, then looks down.
As tears start rolling down her cheeks, Spellcraft turns and puts on her headphones.



"I won't die like this. If I'm going to die, I'll go down fighting."
"I won't let someone make a fool of me, making me seem like the prime suspect. I don't care if the killer is female, she won't get away with this.

With that, Spellcraft heads off towards the apartments.

[Schariot]

The first thing Yuuta did was find the phone in the school to call the police over to the school. He was even more shocked and more suspicious of the town now that 3 people have died, and this case was as strange as the last two. As he returned to the crime scene, he heard everyone talking about Satoko's death. Looking at her reminded Yuuta of his younger sister, and he couldn't believe that this girl had committed a suicide, so he took a stand for the girl that they had turned against. "Hey! Jin was right. There is a killer out there, so that means there's no way Satoko could have killed herself. You guys heard her screaming from inside the building. That was a scream of being attacked, not one of a suicide." He looked to her hanging body once again and then back to the group. "The police are on their way. This killer isn't finished yet."

[Hiyoko Saionji]

"T-The killer is still alive?!"

"H-Hey, someone should.. kill him, you know! That psycho can't get anywhere near me!"

[Maria]

Maria shook as she looked at the body of the girl she had been talking to hours ago. The sight made her faint once again. 

[cain23]

"Its not a guy. The killer is one of us girls... Just like Spellcraft said..."

[Schariot]

"Huh?" Yuuta turned to Parashu after lying Maria down. "How do you know the killer is a girl?"

[cain23]

"Police department... I found info of the killer of Oroshi... We need to find a way of finding out who the killer is..."

[Schariot]

Yuuta was surprised by Parashu's newly found evidence, especially when she made it clear that the killer is one of the girls in their group. He couldn't entirely take her word for it now, but she was the oldest and one of the most mature in the group. He decided to check back at the police station later on. "I'll chill here until the police come." He thought for a moment, then Yuuta spoke up again, "Not sure if this matters, but I did see Jin at the school earlier, grabbing some scissors."
